Consolidando un gobierno facilitador de las inversiones que contribuyen al desarrollo econ\u00f3mico del municipio, la alcaldesa Alma Laura Ampar\u00e1n Cruz, mantiene una estrecha colaboraci\u00f3n con empresas de clase mundial generando la confianza necesaria para que puedan arribar nuevas inversiones en la ciudad y puerto de Altamira.<\/p>\n

Prueba de lo anterior, es la sinergia que existe entre el Gobierno Municipal de Altamira y el Gobierno del Estado con la empresa BHP BILLITON M\u00e9xico, compa\u00f1\u00eda especializada en la exploraci\u00f3n de pozos petroleros con presencia importante en el Golfo de M\u00e9xico, Estados Unidos y Australia.<\/p>\n

Mediante una reuni\u00f3n con el representativo de la empresa de origen australiano, la jefa edilicia refrend\u00f3 la total disposici\u00f3n de su gobierno para que emprendan proyectos en territorio altamirense que impulsen el progreso de este municipio y la regi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

De igual manera, destac\u00f3 el fundamental apoyo del gobernador del Estado, Francisco Garc\u00eda Cabeza de Vaca, quien alienta las inversiones de empresas de todo el mundo en este destino, consolidando a Tamaulipas y a Altamira como referentes en el sector industrial y energ\u00e9tico a nivel nacional e internacional.<\/p>\n

BHP tiene presencia en m\u00e1s de 12 pa\u00edses y produce alrededor de 600 mil barriles de petr\u00f3leo por d\u00eda, registrando ventas superiores a los 30 mil millones de d\u00f3lares.<\/p>\n

Actualmente, la empresa se encuentra operando desde el puerto de Tampico, concluyendo recientemente exploraciones en el Pozo de Yacimiento TRION, contemplando invertir en un segundo pozo pr\u00f3ximamente.<\/p>\n
